The claims of many product manufacturers that their products are specially formulated for African Americans is outright hollow. Many manufacturers of cosmetic products say their products are natural though they contain fillers, alcohol, sodium laurel sulfate, and other ingredients that are carcinogenic or that can in other ways be harmful to the body. Our products are natural and do not contain the ingredients mentioned above or un-natural fragrances or fragrance oils since these may cause irritation in people who suffer from allergies. Since our niche at lanaturalle is African American natural hair care and biracial hair care, we know what it takes to help black hair thrive! At LaNaturalle, we take great pride in the fact that all of our products are plant or herbal based.
The creator of LaNaturalle Products,Angella Spinney, is a licensed cosmetologist of over 18 years and have studied Tricology for 5 years. As a cosmetologist she was concerned about the tremendous lack of understanding among her peers and her clientele as to why Black women were loosing their hair. Early on, she completely understood the damage chemical relaxers, harsh hair colorings, hair tracts and inadequate nutrition were having on the hair and scalp of people of color. As a outstanding student at the Baltimore Studio of Hair Design, she understood that being a true cosmetologist isn't about just "stylin' the hair" and looking good; it's about learning how hair products and styling techniques affect the overall health of the client and their hair. As a cancer survivor, she also understood the need to treat hair in a natural, holistic way that would not introduce foreign, caustic chemicals into the body and upset it's natural balance, especially for those who have ongoing health challenges.
